After graduating from Calvin College in MI with a major in English and a minor in Theatre, Shauna took a couple years to teach grade five in Honduras before pursuing her MA in English Language and Culture at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.  While the Dutch may not be renowned for their English Master’s programs (yet!), any opportunity for further study that encourages indulging in cheese, beer, and biking tulip-lined canals, is not one to be missed.  Shauna now spends her time writing plays, poetry and children’s stories, auditioning for film, tv and theatre, drinking coffee, repeating old stories to her roommate, and running along the gorgeous seawall.  While she is thrilled to be living the Artist’s dream in the beautiful city of Vancouver, she had hoped the dream would come with a larger apartment.  Fingers crossed.
